Please bare in mind only to use the Excel function when nobody is using xyxle from the UI. Using both xyxle UI and Excel may cause problems and will not provide a correct end result.
You have 3 fields in which you can declare for Labels:
M254: Brand
M372: Brand/Label Owner
M373: GLN of Brand Owner
M372, M373-> Are not mandatory fields, but they are dependent one to another. So you can not declare M372 without M373 and vice versa.
Please see below some simple cases when trying to add Labels/Marks via Excel:
Case 1
Fields in Excel | Declared in Excel | Not Declared in Excel | Result in xyxle UI |
M254: Brand | M254: Brand |
M372: Brand/Label Owner |
| M372: Brand/Label Owner |
M373: GLN of Brand Owner |
| M373: GLN of Brand Owner |
*M254 -> Is a mandatory field in order to create a Label/Mark. It can be created without M372 and M373.
Case 2
Fields in Excel | Declared in Excel | Not Declared in Excel | Result in xyxle UI |
M254: Brand | M254: Brand |
M372: Brand/Label Owner | M372: Brand/Label Owner |
M373: GLN of Brand Owner | M373: GLN of Brand Owner |
*If you declare all 3 fields, there this can not cause any errors.
Case 3
Fields in Excel | Declared in Excel | Not Declared in Excel | Result in xyxle UI |
M254: Brand | M254: Brand |
M372: Brand/Label Owner | M372: Brand/Label Owner |
M373: GLN of Brand Owner |
| M373: GLN of Brand Owner |
*M372, M373-> Are not mandatory fields, but they are dependent one to another. So you can not declare M372 without M373 and vice versa.
Additional information:
If all fields are already declared in xyxle, they can NOT be modified through the Excel. You will need to do this from xyxle UI.
If you create a label from the Excel, and you declare it several times in the same document. The last time declared will be the one found in xyxle UI.
You will need to declare all 3 fields correctly(like in the xyxle UI) in the Excel for the article to be updated correctly. If one is missing or it's not correct, errors will occur.
